Apple River, Illinois
This painting is from near a campsite on the Apple River in Illinois. My family and I drove across the United States last summer while I took photos and gathered as much material as I could for paintings and this was our first camping stop. While hiking along a cliff top there we came across a small memorial and found out that it was the first anniversary of a young man's death at that very spot. He accidentally fell and it was a long way down. So, if you ever camp there, make sure to be very careful!

This is a painting of a very old bridge in southern France where my brother-in-law lived for a couple of years. What a lovely place to be!
